1. Please read, re-read and get very comfortable with the new article I handed out this week, "You can do it baby!" If you have been absent, I have posted a link to the article, I still expect you to have read this even if you were not here! This is the article we will be focusing on for our next critical analysis
2. Start thinking about topics for your formal persuasive research essay.
Some guidelines:
a. choose a topic you already know something about, and hold a strong opinion about
b. choose a topic of substance, remember, how irritating getting gum on your shoe isn't really substantial. But also, you do not need to be saving the world. Think local, think national, think international --> all can work
c. have your ideas written down(all of them) and jot down possible thesis statements, and some of your subordinate points. This does not need to be polished, but at least you'll have somewhere to start. The more topic ideas you have the easier this process may be
